She's well acquainted with the touch of the velvet hand like a lizard on a window pane.

Life is funny, isn't it?  Sometimes I feel as though I have it all figured out, then bam! New things arise and I'm left scrambling to get my life back together. The best thing I have done for myself this year is to learn to say "no", and to stand up for myself. I will no longer be the person people can walk over. If  I feel uncomfortable in a setting, I leave. If someone upsets me, I won't talk to them anymore. To most this may not seem like a big deal, but to me, this is everything.

There will be an answer. Let it be.

Every time I wish to delete this, I become hesitant. Does anybody read this? Have you ever read this?   I haven’t written in so long, where do I even begin?  This last year was not a very good one for me. I won’t bore you with details. I will tell you this: I don’t dwell on the past anymore.  I’m moving back to San Antonio with an open mind and an open heart. Where it takes me, who knows?  I just know I’m ready for my life to begin (again). I’ve got a new job, made new friends, and I’m just...ready.  Join me?

Life is what you make of it.

I'm not quite sure where to even begin. As usual, it's been months since I've written.sometimes I wonder if I should delete this blog, since I'm not faithful to it. But I do like to go back, re-read my posts, and remember what my life was like, what I was feeling, or if anyone inspired me to write anything down. I'll bring you up to speed on my life in the past few months. I'm moving back to Austin in the next few days, and although I know this is the best thing for me, this is what I've wanted for months, I'm scared. I'm nervous. What if I move back and it's the worst thing I've ever done? What if I move back, and I fail at my job? What if my old friends moved on? What if no one has time to see me? What if the film community doesn't welcome me back with open arms? There are so many "what ifs". But...life is crazy and beautiful and gorgeous all at once, and I'm ready to see what it has to offer. This will be a life-chang...

"Allow myself to introduce...myself"

I truly wonder if anyone ever reads this blog. Sometimes I think about deactivating this blog. I rarely write anymore, but I do like to go back and read my thoughts, especially the older ones. I'm happy to update you on my life, but my goodness, where do I even begin? This post will be a mix of both personal and professional, a rare glimpse into my private life, if you will. Sure, I'm active on social media, but I mostly post about cats, cinema, music, and fitness, and food. This gives you a general, but very 'surface', view into my world. So join me, if you will, down the rabbit hole. Professional: I work in the advertising operations department at the San Antonio Express News. Prior to this, I worked in Marketing and PR, while also producing short films and commercials in Austin. I've had a background in media since 2008, the year I left my ex-husband. (that story will never be published online, but if you want to know, contact me privately). So since 2008, ...
"I had all the characteristics  of a human being---flesh, blood, skin, hair--but my depersonalization was so intense, had gone so deep, that my normal ability to feel compassion had been eradicated, the vitcim of a slow, purposeful erasure. I was simply imitating reality, a ough resemblance of a human being, with only a dim corner of my mind functioning..." "...there is an idea of Patrick Batemen, some kind of abstraction, but there is no real me, only an entity, something illusory, and though I can hie my cold

As The World Falls Down....

"There's such a sad love, deep in your eyes. A kind of pale jewel, open and closed within your eyes. I'll place the sky within your eyes. There's such a fooled heart, beatin' so fast, in search of new dreams. A love that will last within your heart. I'll place the moon within your heart."--- As The World Falls Down. I don't know what it is about the past 30 days of my life, but I cannot get this song out of my head. And I'm perfectly ok with it.
